UHCW Charity Fest to take place at Assembly Festival Garden this summer

Friday 17th of June 2022 09:22 AM

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Charity are holding a summer celebration to help raise vital funds for patients and their families. The event will take place at the Assembly Festival Gardens and will be a fantastic day out for all the family. With live music acts and entertainment throughout the day, as well as gourmet food trucks and funfair games, there will be something to keep the whole family entertained!

UHCW Charity is delighted to announce Chris Difford, founding member of one of the greatest new wave bands Squeeze, will be performing. More music acts will be announced over the coming weeks, so keep an eye on @uhcwcharityfest on social to hear about the exciting line up.

All funds raised will go towards making things better for staff, patients and their families at University Hospital, Coventry and the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby. Your donations help fund world leading robotic surgery equipment so that patients can recover faster and be home after major surgery within days, as well as tiny gel pillows to cradle our precious neonatal babies’ heads.

UHCW Charity is so excited to bring everyone together in support of your loved ones in our hospitals.

Principal sponsors for the event Uzin Utz Uk and Assembly Festival Gardens are very proud to be supporting Charity Fest:

Matthew Brown, Managing Director, Uzin Utz UK Ltd said “We are honoured to support the UHCW Charity Fest in recognition for the excellent care and welfare the NHS staff provide to their patients.  It’s great to celebrate UHCW achievements at such an event, which for the past few years has not been possible and we are looking forward to the festivities.”

William Burdett-Coutts, Artistic Director at Assembly Festival, said: “It is a privilege for Assembly Festival Garden to host UHCW’s Charity Fest. It is set to be a fantastic day of live performances and entertainment, but most importantly a way of raising crucial funds for local hospital staff and patients, and we hope that people across the region will join us to show their support this August.”
