A major show for the engineering sector is set to return to a Coventry venue for a tenth year.
The Engineering Design Show will be held at Coventry Building Society Arena on Wednesday, October 12 and Thursday October, 13.
It regularly attracts more than 4,000 people and is the UK’s only event dedicated to engineering, electronics and embedded design.
It launched at Coventry Building Society Arena in 2012 and has seen significant year-on-year growth, with around 1,300 people attending the launch event in 2012.
The show is popular with companies in the sector and has already seen more than 80 per cent of stand space sold.
More than 200 world leading suppliers will be showcasing innovations in the show held in the Exhibition Halls, with innovation on display including 3D printing, fasteners & adhesives, design software, drives and controls, embedded systems, labelling, laser making, motion control, PCB manufacture & assembly and many more.
The two-day event is sponsored by Wurth Elektronik and Solid State Supplies – and is powered by Eureka, New Electronics and The Engineer.
Eureka, New Electronics and The Engineer have curated a line-up of expert speakers for the conference which runs alongside the exhibition, with over 30 hours of sessions discussing the key issues and trends that are driving innovation within the design community.
To celebrate ten years of the show, visitors will be invited to an anniversary event at the close of the first day of the show.
Simon Bonell, Sales Director for the Engineering Design Show, said: “There is no better opportunity in the UK for design engineers to network with their peers. We are the only show dedicated to engineering, electronics and embedded design and we have continued to bring together the best suppliers, speakers and products to the Coventry Building Society Arena for the last ten years.
“We have a stellar line-up of speakers and exhibitors. Over the course of two very interesting and information-packed days, speakers from across the industry will explore some of the key design engineering trends, technologies and projects that are transforming the wider world.
“We’re certain they will provide some inspiring examples of how engineers are driving the development of cleaner forms of energy generation, sustainable mobility solutions, innovative manufacturing systems and much more.”
Paul Michael, Commercial Director at Coventry Building Society Arena, added: “We are extremely proud of our track record in helping conferences, exhibitions and events to develop and grow year-on-year.
“This is reflected in our repeat business rate of 77 per cent and that events such as the Engineering Design Show have been with us for ten or more years.
“With the opening of our Commonwealth Convention Centre, we now have further space to continue to grow shows at Coventry Building Society Arena and we look forward to continuing to develop the Engineering Design Show in the future.”
