Students from Rugby College put their catering skills to the test and delivered a luncheon to celebrate the inauguration of the High Sheriff of Warwickshire.

A total of seven students from Rugby College helped to set-up the Great Hall for the lunch and also had the chance to use their front-of-house training to serve VIP customers – which including Lords, Ladies, Judges, other dignitaries and prominent guests
The students also had the chance to prepare the food and drink for the lunch event.
Damian Kucemba, Kallie Wallis, Jenna Pollitt, Megan Brumby, Eloise Kerr, Alex Rogers and Finnley Hudson-Beard all represented Rugby College on the day.
The event at Lord Leycester Hospital gave students the chance to take the skills they have been developing in the on-site commercial restaurant at Rugby College into a real world environment.
‘Courses’ restaurant seats more than 70 diners and acts as a training environment for students at the college.
Alan Clark, tutor at Rugby College, said: “Our CEO Angela Joyce was approached by the organisers of the event to see if our catering students could support on the day and we jumped at the opportunity.
“This inauguration ceremony has been happening for more than 900 years, so it was a real honour for our students to get the chance to be part of such a prestigious and historic event.
“It gave our students some great on the job experience and gave them a taste of what it is like to deliver an event of this standing.
“The students really impressed everyone on the day and we hope it will open some more doors for them as they look to pursue careers in catering and hospitality.”
