Machine Memoirs: Space by internationally acclaimed artist, Refik Anadol, closes at The Reel Store next Sunday, 30 October. To mark its final week, all tickets from Wednesday 26 October will be £5.
The exhibition has welcomed over 24,000 visitors since it opened and has been described as an ‘insane, psychedelic experience’, ‘absolutely breath-taking’ and ‘different from anything I've been to before’.
The mesmerising 360-degree installation is a long-term collaboration between the artist and NASA and uses artificial intelligence to reimagine two million images taken by satellite and telescopes - immersing visitors in colour, sound, and movement.
The Reel Store is the UK’s first permanent, immersive digital art gallery and opened earlier this year in the former Coventry Evening Telegraph building.
The gallery will continue to host innovative immersive experiences and showcase Coventry’s excellence in digital innovation with a new exhibition set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Martin Sutherland, Chief Executive of the Coventry City of Culture Trust, said: “The feedback we have received from visitors has been fantastic and we urge anyone who hasn’t visited yet to come and experience this inspiring installation before it closes. The exhibition is suitable for all ages and a fantastic activity for the whole family this half-term.”
After a further final extension to the run, the exhibition will finish on 30 October. Don’t miss out and book your tickets now at: https://coventry2021.co.uk/what-s-on/machine-memoirs-space/
