Who is the Coventry and Warwickshire Reinvestment Trust (CWRT)?
The Coventry and Warwickshire Reinvestment Trust (CWRT) is a not-for-profit, FCA accredited, specialist finance and business support provider committed to supporting businesses and individuals primarily based in Coventry and Warwickshire.
CWRT is an ethical lender supporting entrepreneurship and jobs in communities under-served by mainstream providers. We do this by channelling investment into traditionally overlooked businesses, helping them to rebuild, adapt, diversify, and add new employment in the months to come.
CWRT, as a Community Development Finance Institution, is devoted to tackling local disparity in the market by offering dedicated loan and business support packages specifically designed to support these SMEs through volatile markets and tightening credit conditions. Our aim is to enable businesses to become sustainable, to proposer and to contribute to the local economy.
What packages are available?
• Business Loans
o CWRT provides loans from £1,000 up to £150,000 to existing businesses primarily operating in Coventry and Warwickshire.
o The loan can be used for any purpose, such as working capital, purchasing capital expenditure such as machinery, vehicles, premises.
o We support pre-starts, startups, existing businesses and management buy-outs.
o We take a transparent, fair, and relationship-based approach in our decision-making process because we know that accessing the right support and finance can be transformational for local businesses.
• Social Enterprises and Charities
o We provide grants up to £7,500 to social enterprises and charities that support communities that have been impacted by the cost of living crisis.
o You also have access to apply for blended finance – a loan up to £40,000 which is matched with a grant up to 50% of the total value of the loan.
I.e. apply for £40,000 loan and receive £20,000 grant alongside the loan.
• Business Support
o The JumpStart project offers a 'pre' start-up support package that is designed to aid individuals in Warwickshire to become ‘enterprise ready’. Delegates will have access to a variety of free business workshops specifically designed & delivered by specialist trainers and mentors to give an insight into self-employment. You’ll also get 1-2-1 support from a mentor and a social media expert.
o The Financial Fit is an exclusive programme aimed at educating & empowering local businesswomen to maximise their potential & overcome personal & industry obstacles. Designed by women for women in business, spearheaded by key industry influencers and expert trainers plus access to a free bespoke financial toolkit - this is an opportunity not to be missed.
