A couple that had their special day saved by one of the Midlands top wedding venues last year have returned on their first anniversary to help other couples get their special day in the calendar.
Laetitia Rattu and Balram Kandola revisited Coombe Abbey Hotel in Brinklow, near Coventry, to launch the hotel’s new 2023 premium wedding packages.
The hotel stepped in to help the Birmingham-based couple, who were left devastated after their original venue went into administration and they faced the prospect of no reception venue just weeks before their wedding day.
As newly-weds, they were delighted to return and be the face of the four-star historic hotel’s two exciting new wedding packages, which will run until 2024.
The ‘Anything For You is Possible’ luxury package includes a pre-wedding complimentary afternoon tea for two, reception drinks, a toastmaster and wedding co-ordinator, as well as a four-course wedding breakfast and an evening reception.
This package also features group activities including lawn games and the opportunity to ‘pimp up prosecco’ and a grand feature bedroom for the happy couple on the day.
Bespoke extras, such as the releasing of doves, silent disco headphones, an owl-ring bearer and live pianist, can be added on to create unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.
Ron Terry, operations director at Coombe Abbey Hotel and Park, said: “Our new 2023 range of wedding packages cater for all types of weddings, from an intimate small-scale affair with a few trusted family and friends to an extravagant wedding like Laetitia and Balram’s.
“We have introduced a greater choice of features for that extra special wedding experience so couples can personalise their day as much as possible.
“Glamorous or rustic, modern or traditional, and anything in between, we will pull out all the stops to make your highly anticipated day one to remember.”
Designed to cater for a minimum of 50 guests, pricing starts from £80 per person in low season, which runs from January to April and includes November; and in high season, from May to October including December, prices begin at £95 per person.
A second package covers the exclusive hire of the hotel’s signature marquee for up to 500 guests all year round – the perfect setting for a wedding breakfast or evening reception.
Features include a grand feature room for the wedding night, a lounge area, dancefloor, use of terrace, kitchen facilities, bar, decorative lighting, stage, tables and Chiavari chairs, plus two members of hotel staff and F&B supervisor. Costs start from £9,500 for weekday low season hire.
Laetitia, a HR manager, said: “Coombe Abbey is where we took our first steps into married life and it’ll always have a place in our hearts.
“We really enjoyed making our return – reminiscing and reuniting with Joanne, our wedding planner who did so much to make our wedding the day we’d dreamed of, to launch Coombe Abbey’s wedding packages for 2023.
“We hope that through Coombe’s new wedding packages, more couples like us, whether it be right at the beginning of the wedding planning process or just weeks before tying the knot, know of this amazing venue and the breadth of services it provides for wedding parties of all sizes.”
“It was an absolute pleasure to welcome them back to Coombe Abbey to unveil our new wedding packages, which we’ve designed to assist couples who’re planning their special day for next year.”
