A Coventry construction company is hosting a charity band night to raise vital funds for a charity which provides care and support for people living with terminal illness.
The Deeley Group Band Night is being hosted for a second time after being disrupted for two years by the pandemic and it will be raising funds for The Myton Hospice.
The event, which raised £7,500 for Molly Olly’s Wishes in 2019, will see London-based The Lost Keys take to the stage on the evening of Friday, September 23 at The Standard Triumph Club in Coventry.
Myton has been providing care and support for people living with terminal illnesses, and their families, in Warwickshire since 1982, and has hospices in Warwick, Coventry and Rugby.
Last year Myton supported more than 1,500 people and their families, in its three hospices, via its patient and family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.
Organisers hope the night will match the fundraising of the first time it was held - attracting nearly 200 guests.
A raffle and auction, featuring a range of prizes donated by local companies, will be held on the night to give a further fundraising boost.

“We have never needed the support more and every penny raised will help us continue to provide our service, free of charge, to terminally ill patients across Coventry and Warwickshire and their families.
“To continue these services free of charge would not be possible without the community and companies like The Deeley Group supporting us. Here’s looking forward to a fabulous evening.”
The Trustees of the Deeley Group Charity who organised the event are Chris Newman, Matt Lynch, Carol Maughan and Ian Clorley, supported by Peter Deeley, Peter Hartill and Ksenia Mironenko.
Carol Maughan, Contract Administrator at the Deeley Group, said: “We are very excited to be bringing back our charity band night after two years away. It has been a difficult period for charities and we hope the night can provide a boost to The Myton Hospice.
“It’s set to be a magnificent evening raising funds for an important cause.
“The Myton Hospice is a charity close to my heart. My husband had cancer and The Myton Hospice, provided advice and support to us both and my next-door neighbour has also spent time at the hospice.
“We are always seeking to support local charities and we are proud to be supporting The Myton Hospice.”
