West Midlands’ Chambers of Commerce are looking for businesses who trade internationally to take part in a short survey, open until Friday 15th April.
Businesses of any size and sector in the West Midlands region are invited to share their views on the type of international trade support they have accessed, the barriers they are currently experiencing around importing and exporting, and feedback on support they would like to see from Chambers of Commerce in the future.
Those who take part in the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of Loganair flight tickets to any of their UK destinations- Aberdeen, Inverness or Isle of Man- including complimentary baggage allowance (terms and conditions apply).
The survey forms part of a wider research project led by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce on behalf of Chambers of Commerce across the West Midlands in a forward-looking process to discover how they can best support businesses with new demands and challenges that have arisen as a result of the twin headwinds of Brexit and Covid-19.
Beth Clewes, Insight and Intelligence Services Manager for the GBCC and lead on the project, says “It’s been immensely rewarding so far to undertake this project and to speak to businesses with lived experiences of importing and exporting goods and services. Their stories so far have helped to build an in-depth picture of current activity, challenges and future demand for services. Now we’re looking for a wider range of views to ensure that as many businesses in the region as possible can benefit from the outcomes of this research.
“I would urge any businesses in the West Midlands who undertake international trade activity to take part in this short survey to help form our findings and recommendations moving forwards.
“It only takes a few minutes and will contribute to how your local Chamber shapes its services in the future.”
