Construction professionals will head to Coventry to discover the latest offsite technology innovations which will support the future of the industry.

More than 3,000 people are expected to attend Offsite Expo at Coventry Building Society Arena on September 21 and 22.

Offsite manufacturing refers to the process of removing the building process from the construction site.

Offsite Expo brings together professionals and companies that are driving change in the construction sector, providing a glimpse into the future of offsite technology and also giving practical insight.

Over 100 exhibitors will be at the two-day event including leading offsite manufacturers and component suppliers, showcasing broad range of panelised, volumetric modular systems, pod and prefabricated MEP solutions.

It will be the second time the show has been held at the arena after playing host to the inaugural exhibition in 2019.

For its second appearance the exhibition has expanded into a second hall, which will allow organisers to implement social distancing measures while still growing the show.

A series of showpiece feature builds will take place during the day, with exhibitors able to see projects including two-storey buildings and apartments being built on the show floor.

It features a packed schedule of high-profile industry leading speakers and delegates will also have access to 40 hours of accredited masterclasses.

The exhibition will also be home to the Offsite Construction Awards, which recognise the best of construction and showcase excellence in the industry.

Julie Williams, Business Development Director for Offsite Expo, says even though the event is only in its second year it has ambitions to quickly become Europe’s largest dedicated event to offsite technology.

“Since we launched the show in 2019 we have had ambitions to continue growing the show and to soon be the leading show in this sector in Europe,” said Julie.

“The pandemic meant we had to cancel last year’s event but we are back for 2021 and we’re looking forward to welcoming some of the most innovative companies and professionals from across the construction sector.

“Offsite technology challenges outmoded construction practices and is a progressive step to revolutionise the way that buildings are designed and assembled – with a move towards advanced factory-based construction methods.

“The feature builds on the show floor will provide real-time examples of the latest technologies and building methods in action.

“The health and wellbeing of all attendees, speakers, exhibitors and staff is our top priority. Measures are being put in place so that the exhibition and Offsite Awards can take place in a safe and controlled manner.

“We look forward to welcoming construction professionals from across the UK to Coventry Building Society Arena this September.”
