Coventry-based software and digital solutions company Exasoft Group has enhanced its support of the city’s year as UK City of Culture by becoming a City Champion sponsor.
The company, based at Coventry Innovation Village, has been a backer of City of Culture since the bidding phase when it became a 2021 Club member – alongside more than 100 other businesses – to help Coventry win the prestigious title. The company has now extended this support to become a key sponsor of the year.
Exasoft has also developed the website for Coventry City of Culture Trust, which it won through a competitive tender process, to act as the city’s window to the world throughout the year and has also been working with the team on a new mobile app, which will include a loyalty points feature and will be released this May.
The company was founded in 1993 and works with a variety of prestigious companies from a range of sectors including high street banks, building societies, life assurance companies, universities, Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, Game and Harrods.
It also recognises its role as a local employer to support initiatives that benefit the city and the people within it and has worked with Coventry City Football Club, the two universities, Coventry Half Marathon, and the mental health charity ITBTT (It Takes Balls to Talk).
Alan Malik, CEO of Exasoft Group, said: “Coventry is at the heart of our company, it’s where it all began for us and we are delighted to have developed Coventry City of Culture’s new app and to support them further as a City Champion.
“As a company we are passionate about creating innovative web, app and digital solutions for our clients and putting our great city of Coventry on the national and International map.
“As an addition to the app, we will also be creating engaging and memorable 360 degree experiences so that people won’t miss out on the exciting events programme that this year of celebration will bring.
“We are really looking forward to celebrating the city’s commitment to culture and creativity, excited about the launch of our engaging and interactive app and thrilled that through utilising our technology services, Coventry will capture this momentous occasion and its legacy for generations to come.”
Martin Sutherland, Chief Executive of Coventry City of Culture Trust, said: “We have developed an excellent partnership with Exasoft and it is great to be able to work with such a fantastic digital business based within our city.
“The support of the business community was vital in winning City of Culture in the first place, and it has proven crucial as we continue through to delivery and beyond.
“For us, it is very important to utilise the skills and expertise of the businesses within the city to help us deliver the year, and our website and app are integral to that.”
