Warwickshire-based conferencing and event venue, the British Motor Museum, is preparing to reopen once the green light has been given by the Government, with a new customer commitment to ensure delegate safety.
Located on Banbury Road in Gaydon, the British Motor Museum boasts over 2,000sqm of internal conference and exhibition space offering a flexible and bespoke event experience for a wide range of delegates – in the midst of the very best in British automotive heritage.
Whilst the Government is yet to announce a date for conferencing and event facilities to reopen, the British Motor Museum team has devised a new Safe Spaces – Safe Meetings commitment to customers, which outlines the steps which will be put in place to ensure the safety of staff and clients alike. This five point commitment to customers includes flexible bookings and contracts, strict social distancing practices, revised catering provision, increased cleaning regimes and enhanced technology including video/relay conferencing which will be available to enable more guests to attend conferences and exhibitions safely or remotely.
The Safe Spaces – Safe Meetings commitment, which will be regularly updated in line with the latest Government guidance, will be delivered by the British Motor Museum’s new managing director, Jeff Coope, who took over the position in April amidst the Coronavirus crisis. Previously director of operations, Jeff joined the British Motor Museum back in 2002 and has been an integral part of the senior management team responsible for building a stable financial platform for the Museum.
He recently negotiated a long lease on the venue which has provided an opportunity for a hotel and second Museum Collections building to be delivered on site, as well as leading the venue’s recent £2 million conferencing refurbishment to include its new breathtaking rooftop ‘Sky Suite’, offering panoramic views across the Warwickshire countryside.
