Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall, who are members of Shakespeare's England, the Destination Managment Organisation for Warwickshire, is opening its doors for a special evening to celebrate local businesses and to raise funds for Shakespeare Hospice. The event takes place on Tuesday 11 June, from 7.00pm to 10.00pm, and will see some of Stratford-upon-Avon’s finest businesses gathering to showcase their products and services.
This promises to be an entertaining evening to enjoy with friends, with canapés created by Naylor Fine Foods being served and a complimentary glass of wine upon arrival. Award-winning Shakespeare’s Distillery, Vin Neuf, The Little Soap Company, Willow and Honey (candles and home fragrances), Diva Brows and Beauty, and Newson Health Menopause and Wellbeing Centre are amongst the businesses taking part.
Where normally it would be the Tudor School Master treading the boards, for this event it will be the models from Gemini showcasing the latest womenswear collections. The summer-inspired Fashion Show presented by Gemini will be a highlight of the evening.
Claire Wright, Owner of Gemini, says, “This is a fabulous opportunity to discover some of Stratford-upon-Avon’s wonderful independent businesses. We’re delighted to have Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall as the stunning backdrop for our catwalk and we hope lots of people will join us for what will be a relaxing and fun evening.”
Sarah Jervis-Hill, Marketing Manager of Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall, says, “There’s a real summer feel to the evening we have planned, with beautiful products and gifts to purchase and a fashion show to be inspired by.
Next year we’ll be marking the 600th anniversary of the building, and we’re delighted that as well as being able to welcome visitors to discover our story, we can play a central role in Stratford’s community life. We’ll be joined by some established local businesses as well as new businesses, all of whom offer something unique. Each ticket booked will help to raise funds for Shakespeare Hospice, which all involved are proud to support.”
Tickets are £15 per person, with all proceeds going to Shakespeare Hospice. Bookings can be made online at https://shakespearesschoolroom.digitickets.co.uk/event/5161807?catID=21851
