This is my first MIPIM and after hearing so much about the event, it has been really interesting to see it from the inside.

Coventry and Warwickshire’s strong economic performance has been recognised in a host of awards at a major investment show.

Barberry Developments today (Wednesday, March 13) announced it is continuing its transformation of part of Coventry city centre as it unveiled plans to build around 300 apartments next to its £100 million student accommodation scheme.

Cllr Peter Butlin, deputy leader of Warwickshire County Council and Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership board director, said:

MIPIM is about many things – development, investment, establishing new links and making new contacts.

The vision for a £100 million development that could regenerate a key part of Coventry city centre has been launched at the world’s largest property development and investment show.

New life is being breathed into the former site of a world-famous manufacturer in Coventry with a major speculative development to help meet an acute lack of industrial property space in the city.

The region’s leading university will use a major international property show to highlight the scale of real estate development stimulated by the education sector.

The University of Warwick has more than £400 million of development planned or underway at its campus in Coventry.

MIRA Technology Park, the UK’s leading automotive technology park and Enterprise Zone, is set to showcase its offer at the world’s leading International property event, MIPIM.

Coventry and Warwickshire’s presence at MIPIM will be boosted by a range of new members to its partnership.
