Fair Train is a national charity based locally. We promote Work Experience, Traineeships and Apprenticeships as alternative routes to employment.
We have developed the National Work Experience Quality Standard – a set of frameworks which employers, training providers and schools/colleges can work towards to ensure they are delivering comprehensive Work Experience programmes.
Fair Train is also the Group Training Association for the Third Sector, which means we help other charities identify and overcome their training needs.
We believe in Work Experience, for young people to start their career and also for employers looking to recruit the best and see results. Through our Work Experience Quality Standard we have improved Work Experience for organisations and young people across the UK.
Work Experience deserves to be celebrated. That’s why we organise Work Experience Week every October – to raise the profile of Work Experience and showcase the benefits to organisations and young people.
The way businesses work together in Coventry and Warwickshire is unique. There is a real sense of pride in the region which is a hub for industry. We have become a Champion because we are proud to be based in Coventry. We want to promote the area as a growth spot for business and develop partnerships with like-minded local individuals and organisations.
Developing the skills of our future generation is important to all of us. That’s why we work with local organisations to promote Work Experience and Apprenticeships – to get young people into training and drive down youth unemployment in Coventry and Warwickshire.
